Ramen is a beloved Japanese noodle soup dish that has gained worldwide popularity. Originally introduced from China, ramen has become a staple in Japanese cuisine, with each region offering its own unique take. Ingredients:

  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 servings fresh or dried ramen noodles
  • 2 boiled eggs, halved
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: nori sheets, sesame seeds, chili oil

Instructions:

1. Prepare the broth by combining chicken or vegetable broth, water, soy sauce, miso paste, ginger slices, and minced garlic in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

2. While the broth simmers, cook the ramen noodles in a separate Large Pot for boiling according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. In the simmering broth, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

4. Remove the ginger slices from the broth using a Ladle, then add the baby spinach and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Divide the cooked noodles among four bowls. Pour the hot broth over the noodles, distributing the mushrooms and spinach evenly.

6. Top each bowl with halved boiled eggs, sliced green onions, and any optional toppings like nori sheets or sesame seeds.

7. Serve hot with Chopsticks and enjoy your homemade ramen.
