This classic Club Sandwich is a favorite for a reason. Layered with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, this sandwich is a perfect combination of flavors and textures. It’s easy to make and perfect for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. Serve with a side of chips or a pickle for a complete meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 1/2 lb sliced turkey breast
  • 1/2 lb sliced cooked bacon
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 2 cups lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast Bread: Toast all slices of bread in a toaster until they are golden brown.

  2. Cook Bacon: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon until crisp, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

  3. Assemble First Layer: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of four slices of toasted bread. Place turkey slices evenly over the mayonnaise. Add a layer of tomato slices, and season with a little salt and pepper. Add a few lettuce leaves.

  4. Add Second Layer: Spread mayonnaise on one side of another four slices of toasted bread, and place these slices mayonnaise-side down on top of the lettuce. Spread more mayonnaise on the top side of these bread slices.

  5. Complete the Sandwich: Place bacon slices evenly over the mayonnaise. Add another layer of lettuce leaves. Spread mayonnaise on one side of the remaining four slices of toasted bread, and place these slices mayonnaise-side down on top of the lettuce.

  6. Secure and Cut: Secure each sandwich with toothpicks at the corners. Use a sharp knife or chef knife to cut each sandwich diagonally into quarters.
