Cheeseburger Sliders

Cheeseburger sliders are a delightful twist on the classic burger, offering a fun and shareable option for any gathering. Originating from the American culinary landscape, sliders are mini sandwiches that pack all the flavor of their larger counterparts into a small, convenient package. They are popular at parties and casual gatherings because they are easy to make, serve, and eat, providing the perfect bite-sized treat for guests.

Servings: Serves 8 people

Appliances/Utensils:

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 slider buns
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well in a mixing bowl.

3. Shape the beef mixture into small patties, about the size of your slider buns.

4. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are fully cooked.

5. Place the cooked patties on a baking sheet and top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Transfer to the oven and bake for 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

6. While the patties are baking, slice the slider buns in half.

7. On the bottom half of each bun, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise followed by ketchup.

8. Place a cheesy patty on each prepared bun half, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.

9. Cover with the top half of the bun and secure with a toothpick, if necessary.

Tips and Suggestions:

  • For a spicy kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the mayonnaise before spreading it on the buns.
  • If you prefer, use other types of cheese like Swiss or pepper jack.
  • To make these sliders gluten-free, use gluten-free slider buns.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the cheeseburger sliders with a side of crispy fries or a fresh garden salad for a balanced meal.
