Classic BLT Sandwich

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 leaves of lettuce (iceberg, romaine, or your choice)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Bacon: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally. Once done, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. Toast Bread: While the bacon is cooking, toast the slices of bread in a toaster or in the oven until golden brown.

  3. Prepare Ingredients: Slice the tomato and rinse the lettuce leaves. Pat the lettuce dry with paper towels.

  4. Assemble Sandwich: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice. On two of the slices, layer the lettuce leaves, followed by tomato slices. Season the tomatoes with a pinch of salt and pepper. Top with crispy bacon slices.

  5. Complete Sandwich: Place the remaining slices of toasted bread on top of the bacon, mayonnaise side down, to form the sandwich.
